Demand Planner & Activity Specialist

1. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

This position is responsible for IBP process (Integrated Business Planning) and demand activities such as forecasting and supply planning which support the customer service, inventory objectives and product availability associated with Bonduelle customers and products. 

2. SCOPE OF POSITION

Functionally: demand planning & activity management

Geographically: CE zone (sub-zone:South East Europe)  – demand planning, commercial forecast management, activity management (follow up on product portfolio)

Based: Bucharest, Romania

3. TASKS

Demand Planning

Continuously follow the sales forecast, cooperate with the sales and marketing department.

Main focus:

(a) participates in preparation of sales and promo plans in terms of demand forecast in cooperation with sales

(b) supports the forecasting process on the short term horizon in cooperation with the Senior Demand Planner by providing data

(c) works according to IBP process 

(d) understands historical sales trends

(e) enriches statistical forecasts with special events on market or products based on inputs from marketing and sales

(f) stock of slow mover products management

(g) back up for the other demand planner (holidays, sickleave)

Activity Management

Works closely with local marketing, sales teams and central Activity team to support:

1. product life cycle (introductions, modifications and discontinuation)

2. ad hoc product launches for promotions (e.g. special displays, packaging) 

Cooperation and communication

Cooperate with the factories’ supply planners 

Cooperates with sales, marketing, finance and factories

Works closely with commercial team and act as a key support/creator to ensure the product status is maintained and activated in the operational system

Collaborates with marketing/sales on new product launches, deletions, range review, etc.

Cooperates, communicates with the central supply team

Reporting

Follows the forecast in the Bonduelle system (FuturMaster). Preparates KPI’s reports and

analysis on forecast accuracy and demand trends to support the monthly IBP and

demand meetings.

Create ad hoc analysis, presentations and reports for the other departments.

4. REQUIREMENTS:

Educational level: university degree (preferably business, economics or logistic)

Professional experience: at least 2-5 years professional experience in demand planning,

preferably in a multinational FMCG environment.

Managerial competencies: ability to work independently, ability to cooperate efficiently with different functions and levels, excellent communication, adaptation and prioritisation skills, responsible and precise personality, openness for change, efficiency in daily operations, willingness to learn

Functional competencies: up to date analytical knowledge

Language: advanced English 

IS technology: google applications/MS Office (strong Excel/Google Sheet knowledge)
