Position Description:

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician that will work together with a Technical Support Team to handle the specific information systems and hardware needs at our local operation facilities with an emphasis on workstation and network support. This position will report out of our Irwindale, CA facility and will require to be onsite full-time.

 

Responsibilities:

The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the following plant information systems and hardware:

 

  • IMAC Support – IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change
  • Track and resolve customer incidents and requests through the Service Desk ticketing tool
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows and handheld Scanner devices
  • Knowledgeable with Collaboration Tools such as G-Suite
  • Restoration and migration of user data
  • Shipping, receiving, and disposal of IT equipment
  • Smart Hands support to assist other support groups such as networking, server, and telecommunication teams
  • Printer and peripheral device support
  • Mobile device support (specifically iPhones, Androids)
  • Inventory management of IT assets including asset auditing
  • Video Conference room equipment support and meeting support
  • Execute and follow appropriate KB articles
  • Potential after-hours support requirements & VIP support
  • Local hands-on technical support for technical and business process changes
  • Assist with 24 Hour facility support including support for outside IT consultants

 

Required Experience:

  • At least 2-4 years in a manufacturing or end-user support utilizing the listed skills to solve user technical issues with hardware and software. 

 

Technical

  • Microsoft Operating Systems - Windows 7, Windows 10
  • General PC, Network, and Printer Repair/Support 
  • Basic understanding of Local Area Networks
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Windows Server experience a plus
  • Manufacturing and Warehousing systems experience a plus

  • Travel will be required between both facilities
