The Manufacturing Site Leader is responsible for the overall success of Bonduelle Fresh Americas’ (BFA) site manufacturing and distribution operations. This position ensures the safety of their people, products, equipment, and buildings and also the start-up and ongoing production and distribution of finished goods to customers according to BFA’s guidelines and goals. The Manufacturing Site Leader will focus on continuously improving safety, quality, operational performance, strategic initiatives, and managing site growth while partnering with the on-site and functional leadership teams by delivering financial results to the business for the overall success of BFA.


Key Deliverables 

•    Promote a collaborative culture that drives high employment retention, low absenteeism, and where people know the value of their work 
•    Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of people safety, product quality, reliability and manufacturing operations. 
•    Determine and enforce through functional groups, productivity, quality and safety requirements in accordance with company needs
•    Lead a safe plant 
•    Drive/change improvements in operational efficiencies.
•    Lead operational efficiencies to include yields, labour, shipping/picking efficiencies, sanitation scores


Plant Safety and Quality

•    Work collaboratively with Quality Manager and HSE Manager to coach and develop the plant safety and quality leads.
•    Ensure that all practices and procedures for safety, SQF, Food Défense, Quality, and production are properly followed and implemented.
•    Ensure compliance with Company, State, and Federal safety and quality requirements 
•    Ensure plant personnel adhere to safety, SQF and quality procedures. 
•    Act as backup SQF practitioner when necessary 
•    Maintain a clean and orderly work environment


Minimum Qualifications

•    10+ years of experience in a Consumer Product Manufacturing environment 
•    10+ years of experience in a management role 
•    Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Management/Operations or another related field 
•    MBA or equivalent preferred 
•    Experience assessing, hiring, developing – when necessary – replacing employees, experience delivering training, and coaching. 
•    Demonstrated experience of Lean tools (5S, TPM, Kanban, kaizen, value stream management, visual factory, poka-yokes, heijunka, SMED, etc.) 
•    Knowledge of FDA regulations and GMP manufacturing requirements 
•    Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and requirements 
•    Demonstrated ability to acquire and utilize technical skills to penetrate issues and solve them to root cause
•    Possesses the ability to work effectively across departments with both Sales and Customer Service
•    Entrepreneurial, hands-on, with a strong bias for action
•    Change agent – Industry leader with a proven track record of establishing an environment susceptible to change and thinking outside the box 
•    Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills 
•    Innovative problem solver with a focus on Continuous Improvement
