Position Summary:

 

This role is a key position within our manufacturing plants and supports our production team leads as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards.  This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.  This position works independently to ensure the proper sanitation of production areas and equipment. The role of the  Sanitarian II (1st & 2nd shift)  is being able to perform all the sanitarian at the whole facility tasks such as:

 

  • Sanitation of Production Equipment

  • Sanitation of Production Facilities

  • PEC (Periodic Equipment Cleaning)

  • PIC (Periodic Infrastructure Cleaning)

  • Sanitation of Special Events

  • MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule)

  • Programmed Detail Cleaining

Also the Sanitarian II (1st & 2nd) will be able to train and direct, production house keepers so they can perform sanitarian duties when needed.

Core Roles Responsibilities:
  • Follow all Food Safety, Food Quality and Food Security Policies

  • Perform duties safely and encourage safe practices throughout Irwindale Facility 

  • Wear PPE at all times while performing the cleaning/sanitation of the machine 

  • Follow the procedures in place to safely and effectively perform sanitation (7 Steps)

  • Report any equipment failure to Sanitation Supervisor/Coordinator or Management

  • Use chemicals to clean and sanitize food contact and non food contact surfaces

  • Responsible for documentation of job tasks performed on sanitation checklist

  • Set up and tear down production equipment as needed to perform specific cleaning applications

  • Inspect all equipment before releasing line 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently

  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, pushing and walking

Qualifications and Experience:

 

Qualifications/ Memberships:

 
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Reading, Writing, Speaking English Preferred

  • Comprehension of basic math

  • Physically able to repeatedly lift a 50-pound cases of product
