Position Summary:
The Trainer role within our manufacturing plants supports our overall production team as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. The Associate in this role will help drive efficiencies and associate retention by developing, training and coaching associates on the line on standard operating procedures.  Position is responsible for training and integration of new associates into the salads environment.  This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.  

What you will Do:  
Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, SQF, HACCP, Sanitation guidelines and processes.
Partner and communicate with the temporary agencies to meet new associates and coordinate training/onboarding.  
Conducts a short onboarding session using a PowerPoint presentation on their 1st day including GMPs, Safety, and the environment.    Group should include no more than 10 new associates.
Training is conducted prior to the associate going to the production line in a classroom setting and demonstrate tasks. Take the new associate on a short tour of the facility including rest rooms, cafeteria, and locker room.
Trains assigned associates while utilizing effective training techniques, such as new associates' orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, etc.
Review their job description with the new associate. Trains new associates against established one point lessons (OPLs).  
Assign them to a line/area and mirror the new associate.  Ensure they are assigned to the same line on day #2
Performs assessment of all new temps and associates. Oversee the new associate performance for at least 1 week; longer if needed.  Provide constant coaching and feedback to the associate.  Communicate new associate progress to the Supervisor daily.  
Performs/assists with annual training needs, making recommendations based on opportunities, ensures that adequate lesson plans/materials are available and performs appropriate instructional procedures or methods.
Ensures new, transferred/returning associates receive appropriate department- or equipment-specific training and maintains and tracks records (training sign in sheets and development status of trainees). 
Assists with improvement of the facility's general orientation/induction program.
Assists with the facilitation of Alchemy training topics. 
Special projects as assigned such as writing or confirming one point lessons (OPLs).   
Knowledge & understanding of how to maintain a safe work environment and ensure new associates are wearing/using PPE correctly, maintain a clean work area, works safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment and report all accidents and safety concerns to Department Leadership immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will Need:    
Knowledge of GMP's &, Safety Guidelines.
 Knowledge of HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & process
High performer filler/packer/team member 2 or line feeder with minimum of 1-year in the position 
Comprehension of basic math and ability to use a computer (MS Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Team player-able to work on a team, ability to multi-task and ability to communicate (verbally & in writing to complete required documentation.
Willingness to work in a cold environment.
Able to work flexible schedule & ability to work in a fast paced environment..
Ability to understand plant KPI's (production, quality, yields, and safety), and our processes.
Reading, Writing, Speaking English.   Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish and/or Hindi)
GED/High School Diploma.
