Summary

3rd shift Quality Control Clerk position in frozen food production environment. Responsible for the quality of raw materials and finished product for compliance to established USDA standards and/or customer specifications.  Fully follow the guidelines of food safety and quality as based on our values and vision for fruit and vegetable packaging.
 

Essential Functions

  • Adhere to all aspects of USDA and customer specifications. Review areas requiring improvement and/or retraining.
  • Perform weight/grade audits.
  • Perform metal detector audits. 
  • Perform sanitation inspections. 
  • Conduct product samplings as required for raw materials and finished product.
  • Complete paperwork associated with holds and releases.
  • Responsible for following all of the facility HACCP plan and quality system procedures.
  • Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and quality system procedures.
  • Communicates issues to Group Leaders in a timely, professional manner.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Quality Systems Group Leader and Quality Systems Manager.
  • Good housekeeping must be maintained within the quality and micro labs.
  • Always works in a safe manner.
  • Help to produce the highest quality of finished product
  • Adhere to all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety
  • Report any food safety, health & safety, quality issues and initiate action, as necessary. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office, Google.
  • Microbiological experience.

 

Experience

  • 1-3 years QA experience in Food processing facility.
  • 1-3 experience in the food industry, specializing in fresh vegetable production, frozen vegetable packaging, and distribution.
