The Integrated Business Planning Manager role is responsible for the facilitation of planning process at all respective facilities, deep involvement in IBP, ensuring cross-functional alignment (Marketing, Sales, SC, Finance, etc.); Managing the Demand Fulfilment processes and Operations to achieve the agreed KPIs on Customer Service Level, Stock Management and Profitability.

 

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Planning and Fulfilment management

  • Launch and Lead the cross-functional Demand/Supply planning process based on qualitative and accurate Demand planning and Stock management (avoiding waste, keep inventories at the safe level)   to provide the required service level for customers and ensure the financial KPIs.
  • Conduct and enhance S&OP elements with reference to DP&F, special focus on “One plan”, Opps&Risks and planning assumptions.
  • Lead regular Demand&Supply control meetings with the objective of pro-active service level risks mitigation and x-functional alignment on-demand/supply plan changes; provide up-to-date supply inputs
  • Create, implement and continuously enhance KPI and governance to monitor the functional performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage effective communication of ongoing operations within Markets, Categories, Sales and SC regarding Sell-in performance of current month and future possible issues and prepare action plans in order to mitigate issues with Sell-in performance in next periods.
  • Manage effective communication of ongoing operations and consistently work on process harmonization.
  • Continuous weekly/daily execution of the Fulfillment planning process towards the suppliers on basis of the latest available forecast information from demand planning and customers’ orders.
  • Proactively identify supply bottleneck in order to achieve best results for the business unit under constraint supply.
  • Lead the process of supply risks identification at the earliest possible stage and manage the communication across the organization.
  • Using the expert knowledge in SC help to identify alternative sourcing solutions or supply backup.
  • Ensure the achievement of SC KPIs: Customer service level, inventory days, write-offs, OOS level.
  • Develop objectives and local recommendations that align the function with other areas of the Business Unit.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements within the Demand/Supply Planning processes and development of planning capabilities within the team to build efficiently and send downstream the best possible Forecast (SKU/week/location) and achieve Sales Forecast Error KPIs.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of Demand/Supply planning process and forecast systems x-function and x-category with a strong focus on flexibility and speed-to-market 
  • Optimise systems and procedures in order to improve overall efficiency.
  • Lead and/or contribute to x-functional projects.
  • Recommend strategic directions regarding Country Fulfilment improvements to management.
  • Optimise flow of information / data.

    

People management

  • Form and sustain a reliable, efficient and highly motivated team with strongly developed and sustainable total SC thinking 
  • Ensure high management quality by attracting, recruiting, developing and coaching talents to excellent professionals.
  • Identify and support core skills development for the Demand/Supply Planning team, create a working environment of open feedback as a basis for skills and style development. 
  • Lead ethically and model compliant behaviour; maintain an environment where employees are encouraged to speak up without fear of retaliation

 

Business simplification agenda (Decomplexity)

  • Support continuous improvements along the Total Value Chain by identifying issues and opportunities to reduce complexity.
  • Provide SKU analysis (ABC/XYZ), identify risky positions from the entire SC perspective and propose portfolio changes.
  • Identify the Opps&Risks driven by product changes, product transfers and delisting.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • University degree in Economics or Logistics 
  • At least 5 Years of commercial experience preferably in an internationally recognised organisation within an FMCG environment, performing Planning/Supply chain roles.
  • Professional experience covering either/or a Planning/Sales/ Supply Chain discipline.
  • Good communication skills, as required for interfacing x-functionally 
  • Strong analytical skills in numbers and processes 
  • Change Management skills to execute and to conduct concepts and ideas that will develop the role and function.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles associated with S&OP processes.
  • Strong people management skills to build, motivate and develop the team in an open environment that encourages the function to perform at the highest level
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft packages 
  • Stand alone ability/Ability to push/lead significant changes in process or organisation, decision making under ambiguity and time pressure
  • Ability to keep processes, reporting and communication clear and simple
  • People management experience 2+ years  
  • Fluent English
