Very concretely, you will:

In this job, you will produce healthier and better-quality food for customers and communities.
 

Your mission will be to:

• Troubleshooting and repair of production equipment

• Installation of capital projects

• Maintain, repair, upgrade, install and test electrical controls and equipment 

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications

• Responsible for recordkeeping and logbooks

• Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and maintain a close link with production operations to ensure maximum production time

Your assets for this position

You are:

• Certificate of Qualification – Journeyman Electrician Certificate (442A or 309A)

• Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting

• Ability to read, interpret, and appropriately apply diagrams, OEM manuals, schematics, and blueprints

• Experience installing and maintaining power distribution systems, automation systems, lighting, and building wiring

• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in an industrial environment

• Familiarity with EAM systems is preferred

• Food plant experience is preferred but not required

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Demonstrated occupational health & safety competency

• Critical thinking, organizational, and planning skills

• Motivation to work well independently

• Willingness to share and implement ideas for continuous improvement as part of lean manufacturing initiatives
