Position Summary
As the Director of Finance for Manufacturing Operations, you will be a strategic business partner of Operational leaders and Finance lead for all aspects of manufacturing and supply chain activities across multiple production sites. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor operational performance and provide insights to help deliver or exceed the operational and financial commitments. Adequately challenge the current practices and processes. Propose recommendations to improve. Perform/review monthly variance review of P&L results. Prepare Management presentation material and present for monthly forecast/close meetings, & operational meetings and QBRs
  • Build and consolidate detailed annual budget and corresponding product costing for all manufacturing, supply chain, and Procurement activities. Develop regular forecasts relying on IBP to create monthly, quarterly and full-year estimates that incorporate known and perceived headwinds and tailwinds.
  • Provide insights into how direct labor, plant overhead, raw, packaging, and semi-finished goods yields and performance affect the P&L. Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices.
  • Confirm financial viability and return of efficiency and growth initiatives. Develop models to support CapEx projects and continuous improvement projects
  • Coax with the corporate finance team and participate to monthly financial close as needed.
  • Evaluate and maintain internal controls across all key operational activities; document policies and procedures. Install controls and train users across the supply chain to execute within the framework of established guidelines and controls.
  • Present timely and relevant financial reporting and analysis to Site and Functional leaders.
  • Lead annual Site and Functional Budget process including development/analysis of budget targets, developing, communicating, and driving the budget timeline, creating budget templates, creating/maintaining budget roll-up files, and preparing budget deliverables for Site Management and BU Leadership Team.

 
Qualifications

  • Desired Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the Finance/Accounting field
  • Experience in manufacturing and supply chain in an industrial environment is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience. 5-10 years of supervisory experience or equivalent cross-functional project leadership.
  • Experience with financial system implementation & restructuring processes
  • Superior analytical skills and strong attention to detail balanced by a keen ability to integrate the broader strategic picture.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management and with all levels of finance expertise
