Position Summary:
As a Territory Manager - West, you will have direct responsibility for developing and implementing sales strategies to grow the territory, developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers and managing sales processes of the assigned territory.  In addition to the day to day management of the business, you’ll have an integral role in setting the foundation for long-term growth by leading joint business planning and working with the organization to develop strategic roadmaps for the assigned accounts.  You’ll also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities as we expand our portfolio and distribution in line with our key growth initiatives, while supporting our corporate social responsibility and B Corp certification ambitions.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage day to day customer account activity to drive everyday sales growth and profitability 
  • Assists in preparing annual and long term sales plans
  • Build, Implement and track trade promotion activity to deliver topline sales and ROI
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with decision makers to ensure customer engagement
  • Present new products and category reviews to drive distribution, assortment and share growth  
  • Utilize consumer insights and syndicated data to develop fact-based selling stories 
  • Provide accurate volume forecasts to ensure reliable financial projections and supply planning
  • Prepare and share weekly management reports demonstrating progress and action items to move the business forward
  • Participate and represent the company at key customer events and trade shows


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in account sales to traditional retailers/distributors within the Produce category
  • Strong business acumen demonstrated through a solid understanding of sales and profit drivers of volume and trade promotions 
  • Able to influence and build strong relationships with key decision makers within assigned accounts
  • Thorough understanding and use of insights to drive fact-based decision making
  • Strong communication skills (oral, presentation, and written communications) to foster clear understanding and direction both internally and externally
  • Ability to succeed in unstructured, fast-paced  environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate up and down the organization
  • Proficient with common business  applications (Google suite, SPINS/IRI, Tableau, etc.)
  • A proven track record of results with a bias for action
  • A passion for learning and a craving to work in a fast paced culture to drive real action
  • 30-50% travel required

 

Pay Range: $100,000 to $125,000
